COVID-19 Resources from the Economic Development Dept; Here are some of the Latest Resources available through State and Federal Agencies

Assistance with PPP Applications Available
South Valley Economic Development Center and the International District Economic Development Center are able to assist businesses in applying for the Payroll Protection Program (PPP). Their experts will guide applicants through the process of collecting the required documents and on the application itself. They have loan partners who monitor the loans to ensure they get into the SBA queue. Please direct any interested clients to client.services@svedc.org or call (505)385-4409. Time is of the essence.

Local Agriculture Market Program (LAMP)
Administered by USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS), the program provides grants on a competitive basis for a wide spectrum of direct-to-consumer and local food marketing projects and is administered as two subprograms: the Farmers Market Promotion Program (FMPP) and Local Food Promotion Program (LFPP). They provide capacity and technical assistance grants and planning and implementation grants for food enterprises and producers who wish to expand their access to local food markets.

For FY 2020, AMS has announced the availability of $27 million for FMLFPP. Applications must be submitted electronically through grants.govLearn More or read the Press Release

Distance Learning and Telemedicine Grant Program
USDA Rural Development offers support to help rural communities use the unique capabilities of telecommunications to connect to each other and to the world, overcoming the effects of remoteness and low population density. Application Deadline: July 13, 2020, via grants.gov. Learn more

$1,000,000 in Non-Profit COVID-19 Relief Funds
The City of Albuquerque is awarding the funds in the form of emergency contracts to provide services to the community that addresses the unanticipated loss of income and job-related health care, the decreasing availability of support services, and unanticipated health costs resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. NEH CARES: Cultural Organizations
The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) has received supplemental funding to provide emergency relief to institutions and organizations working in the humanities that have been affected by the coronavirus. Closes 5/11/2020Visit this grant

Rural Tribal COVID-19 Response Program
Provides funding to assist tribes to engage in activities that may include, but are not limited to: establishing testing sites, purchasing test kits, implementing telehealth strategies/activities, purchasing personal protective equipment (PPE) and other supplies, and hiring and/or training health care providers and other health care personnel to provide care for COVID-19 patients.
