In Loving Memory of Guadalupe T. Sanchez

Guadalupe T. Sanchez, passed away peacefully at home on April 24, 2020, at the blessed age of 99.

She was born in Sopris, Colorado on June 18, 1920, the daughter of Lucia and Ezequiel Trujillo.

On June 29, 1946, Lupe was united in I marriage to Ezequiel Sanchez.

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, whose first priority was her family.

Lupe was a member of Holy Trinity Parish and was a woman of great faith and conviction.

She loved to cook and spend time with everyone at family gatherings.

Lupe also enjoyed traveling to Cripple Creek with her husband.

She had a kind, gentle, and loving heart and always told her children that to be forgiven, one has to forgive.

When anyone left her house she always told them “God be with you.”

Lupe was preceded in death by her parents Lucia and Jose Ezequiel Trujillo, beloved husband Ezequiel (Zeke) Sanchez, son Michael A. Sanchez, great-granddaughter Dannie Joe L. Martinez., sisters, Elsie, Carmella, Clara, and Bernice, brothers Joe Oracio and Jim.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Tom (Sandy), Steve (Roberta), Joseph, George (Pat), Sherry, 13 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Lupe was laid to rest at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.

Traditional Catholic Funeral Services will be held when allowed, date, and time to be announced.
