In Loving Memory of James R. Trujillo

James (Jimmy) of Buffalo, New York died peacefully at home on April 4, 2020. He was born
in Trinidad, Colorado on December 17, 1963, to Jake and Alice (Archuleta) Trujillo. He is survived
by his beloved wife of 30 years Diane (Petersen) Trujillo; children James A. Ortiz and Desiree
Ortiz; grandchildren Kurtis Bueno, Josiah Vegas, and Mykey Vegas; brothers Allen (Virginia)
Trujillo, Wayne (Rita) Trujillo, William (Teresa) Trujillo; sisters Marilyn Castillo and Gloria Vigil;
sisters-in-law Mary Trujillo and Elvira Trujillo. He is predeceased by his parents Jake and Alice
Trujillo; brothers Jack, Joseph, Ralph, and Augustine Trujillo; sister Emily Trujillo; brother-in-law
Anthony I. Vigil and nephew Shaun E. Castillo. Also, survived by numerous in-laws, nieces,
nephews, cousins, and friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Jim was the ninth member of our family, who was a very loving, kind, and gentle person.
Always the light of our family, making everyone put a smile on their face. He always had
a positive word to say about everyone. He loved to draw and was very artistic. He will truly be
missed. R.I.P.
