In Loving Memory of Mikey John Cordova

Mikey John Cordova, born December 31, 1954 in Cimarron, NM, passed away on February 13, 2020.
Mikey moved to Raton, NM in 1955 and graduated in 1973. After graduation he worked at La Mesa Park and went on to work in Phoenix and Seattle Washington. He moved back to Raton in 2013, where he met is wife Stella. He worked at Denny’s Restaurant when he started getting sick in September of 2019, when he was diagnosed with brain cancer.
Mikey loved to fish, gamble, go to family events and watching football. His team was the Dallas Cowboys. He loved traveling, sightseeing, playing games, fixing jigsaw puzzles with his family and having a good time. Family was most important to him besides God.
Mikey passed away in Peace at home with his wife Stella by his side along with other family members, including his Hospice nurse Robin Pilley she was his Angel.
Mikey is preceded in death by his mother Manuelita Cordova, his father Ramon Cordova, his brothers Gene Cordova, Raymond Cordova and Richard Anthony Cordova. Sisters Isabella Cordova and Kathryn Cordova.
Mikey is survived by his wife Stella Cordova of Raton, NM. His two sons Mikey John Cordova and fiancé Diane of Raton, NM, and Christopher Cordova of Virginia Beach, Virginia. 3 Grandchildren Nevaeh Dorance, Zacchaes Dorance and Hasana Woodruff all of Washington. 2 brothers, Claude Cordova of Raton, NM and Valentino and wife Annabell Cordova of Raton, NM. 4 sisters Rosella and husband Steve Trujillo of Raton, NM., Judy Campbell of Albuquerque, NM., Marie Martinez of Pueblo, CO., Mary Rose and husband Joe Cortez of Raton, NM. Mother-in-law Stephanie Jones of Raton, NM., Sisters-in-law Debbie Prince of Oklahoma City, OK., Sandra Romero of Oklahoma City, OK., Nancy and husband Luis Sanchez of Raton, NM., Brother-in-law John and Rebecca Romero of Raton, NM., and uncle Abel Jiron of Raton, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Rosary will be on Friday, February 21, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. recited by Larry Guara followed by a Celebration of Life in the Chapel of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home.
