Rose Mary Kaplan passed away February 5, 2020 in Los Lunas, NM with her children by her side. Rose was born on June 5, 1967 to William and Rita Kaplan of Raton NM. Rose was kindest person, she was always there if you needed a helping hand, and she could always put a smile on your face. Rose lived most her life in Raton. She worked many years as a waitress. When she wasn’t working, she was taking care of her 4 children. Rose later retired in Los Lunas where she spent all her time with her grandchildren. Rose is proceeded in death by her father, William Kaplan; mother, Rita Kaplan; aunt, Laverne DiBenedetti; brothers, Sam, Tony, and John Kaplan; sister, Annie Kaplan. Rose is survived by her four children, Rita Guerra, Sam Guerra, Mary Bell (husband Jeremiah Bell), and Cynthia Kaplan; two grandchildren, Ava and Brantley Bell; one sister, Roberta Schwede (husband Mike schwede); four brothers, William, Mike, joe and Allen Kaplan and numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life for Rose Mary Kaplan will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 10: 00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home in Raton, recited by Casey Kaplan. Inurnment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A potluck reception will follow at Raton Church of Christ.
