Philmont Fire Department Press Release:
On Monday, January 27, 2020 at 8:40 a.m. the Philmont and Cimarron Fire Departments were dispatched to Miami, NM to assist Miami Fire Department on a fully engulfed structure fire.
Cimarron and Philmont Fire Departments responded with multiple units to help extinguish the fire and provide additional water. There were no injuries to residents or responders. The residence is a complete loss and the homeowner is being assisted by friends and neighbors. the resident was at home when the fire began and believes the fire started in the kitchen.
Agencies that assisted were Miami Fire, Philmont Fire, Cimarron Fire Departments, Raton Dispatch, Cimarron EMS, Springer Electric and Northern New Mexico Gas.
Phimont and Cimarron Fire Departments were cleared from the scene at approximately 11 a.m. while Miami Fire Department remained on scene to finish mop up.
