In Loving Memory of Betty Lucero

Betty Lucero, age 77, passed away Wednesday January 15, 2020, at Presbyterian Rust Hospital in Rio Rancho, NM. She was born September 13, 1942.
She resided in Raton and worked as a foster grandparent, Betty had a big heart and loved everyone she came into contact with.
She was preceded in death by her parents Esteban and Tonita Cruz, son Rubin Lucero and sister Lucy Valles. She is survived by her lifelong companion Filbert Flores of Raton, NM., sons Rudy Lucero of Raton, NM and Alex Lucero and wife Deborah of Gilbert AZ., and daughter Deborah DeHerrera and husband Arnold of Alamosa, CO. Siblings; Celso Cruz and wife Jan of Denver, CO., Junior Cruz and companion Rosalinda of Denver, CO., Juan Cruz of Denver, CO., Sammy Cruz and wife Beverly of Pueblo, CO., Ernie Cruz and wife Sandra of Alamosa, CO., Fares Cruz and wife Louise of Chattanooga, TN., Alfonso Cruz and wife Shirley of Pueblo, CO., Art Cruz and companion Gloria of Raton, NM., Beatrice Mestas of Denver, CPO., and Julie Nicholson and husband Jimmy of Ayden, NC. Six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, great grand dog Twix, three great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing for Betty Lucero will be held Monday January 20, 2020 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life will be Tuesday January 21, 2020 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home. Followed by a reception at St. Patrick’s/St, Josephs Parish Hall.
