Thomas S. Parker, age 85, passed away on January 3, 2020 in Raton, NM.
He was born in Sopris, Colorado on May 26, 1934 to Catherine (Ossola) and Thomas Parker.
He was a 1953 graduate of Lincoln High School and then attended and graduated from TSJC.
On April 28, 1956, Tom was united in marriage to Margaret Peretto at Holy Trinity Church.
Tom was store manager of Safeway having worked in Trinidad, Las Animas, Raton and Walsenburg stores retiring after 46 years.
Tom enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, horse racing and casinos.
He was able to travel with his wife on many cruises after retirement , but his favorite activity was watching his grandsons play sports.
Tom was a hardworking, honest and happy person and he will be missed dearly.
Preceding him in death are parents, Catherine and Tom Parker, wife Margaret, brother Bob Parker, sister Kathryn Amari, mother and father in law Florence and Pete Peretto, brothers in law Carl Amari, Carl Connell, and Harold Robb.
Survivors are daughter Cynthia Parker, son Thomas Scott (Susan) Parker, of Raton, NM, grandchildren, Jordan C. Carlini, Albuquerque, NM, Jason Thomas Parker, Raton, NM,. Sisters; Isabelle (Doug) Barber, TX, Clover (Dale) Pfau, Julesburg, CO, Karen Robb, CA, and Diane Connell, Trinidad. Sisters and brothers in law; Antoinette Parker, Lamar, CO, Mike (Esther) Peretto, Pueblo, CO, Kathryn Peretto of AZ, Paulette (Lance) Chrysler of CA, and nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be Friday, January 17, 2020, at 1:30pm at the Comi Chapel followed by inurnment at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.
