Raton Police Department Release 12-16-2019
It’s going to be a very Merry Christmas this year for several children in Colfax County. This year, the inmates at Springer Correctional Facility for women have generously donated $2300 towards Raton Police Department Shop with a Cop and Reindeer Dash.
The inmates at the facility were able to donate the money through club sales which are held at the facility monthly. The clubs that donated are, Rise Above, Game Changers, Caring and Sharing, Mommy and Me, and the Mathematicians. At SCC, the women have the Privilege of raising money through self-help clubs that promote an opportunity of healing, positivism, and the ability to belong to a productive group of peers.
The women at SCC are very proud to donate to the children and want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
