Shirley Ann Sanchez, age 68, peacefully passed away on December 12, 2019 in Colorado Springs, CO after a valiant fight against cancer.
She was born on August 8, 1951 in Trinidad, CO. Shirley graduated from Trinidad High School in 1969 and then attended Trinidad Junior College. She was a parishioner at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Trinidad.
Shirley lived in Trinidad until 1998 when she moved to Colorado Springs where she resided at Brookside Assisted Living. While there, Shirley became an integral part of her community and was loved and respected by all whom she touched.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents ,Bonnie and Ophelia (Vallejos) Sanchez, and her godparents Tony and Ruby (Vallejos) Marquez. Shirley will be missed by all those she leaves behind, including her siblings, Mary Jane Rhodes (Ray), Filbert Sanchez, Nancy Yvonne Beirne (Andy), and numerous nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 3pm-7pm at the Comi Chapel
Rosary will be recited by Bro Harry Gonzales at Comi Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 17 at 7:00 PM.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 18 at 10:00 AM.
Interment with Rite of Committal will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.
