Inclement Weather Requires Using the 3rd Street Entrance to Access Arthur Johnson Memorial Library

As some of you may have noticed, the front entrance to the library was blocked off during Thursday’s snow storm. Expect this to happen during snow or rain. The steps are marble and get very slippery and dangerous during those times. Plans are being discussed on how to address this issue, but this will take time. HOWEVER, the back door with the handicapped ramp on 3rd street will still, as always, be open. Don’t let the front doors being locked in bad weather keep you from coming! We will leave the back door open for you when it rains or snows! Thank you for your understanding.

The library will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 28th and 29th, for Thanksgiving, so come in before then for holiday reading and movies! We will reopen on Saturday, November 30th, at our usual time of 10:00 AM.

There is a new book club in town! Copies of the first book, “The Replacement Child” by Christine Barber are now available for checkout. If you are interested in joining, please sign up at the library and check out one of the remaining nine copies. You will need a valid library card. The book club will meet at the Colfax Ale Cellar on December 10th at 7:00 p.m.
