Raton High School is pleased to announce the School Winners of the Heisman High School Award.
Jennifer S. Acosta is the daughter of Jesus and Jessica Acosta. She participates on the RHS Cheer Team and has won 2 state championships. She is also a member of Student Senate and serves as the Student Body President, FCCLA and served 2 terms as a State Officer including State President, and NHS and serving as the Chapter Treasurer. Jennifer gives back to her community by volunteering at the Raton Intermediate School Reading Program, St. Patrick’s and St Joseph’s Church, the Humane Society, and the Raton High School blood drive. She plans to attend University of New Mexico and major in Business.
Hunter Kuchan is the son of Clint and Teresa Kuchan. He participates in football and track. He is also a member of FCCLA and serves as Vice President of Public Relations, RHS Student Senate and serves as Senior Class Treasurer. Hunter also works full-time at McDonalds. He plans to attend Colorado State University Pueblo and major in Nursing.
