Conditions encountered after the report is compiled may differ, as stream, lake and weather conditions alter fish and angler activities.
Albuquerque Area Drains: Jalen Gallegos caught a 24-Inch 7-pound carp using night crawlers.
Bluewater Lake: Gary Sandoval of Rio Rancho caught a 37.5-inch tiger muskie using a yellow lure with red diamonds Nov. 5.
Eagle Nest Lake: Tim Burke reported snagging five kokanee salmon Nov. 5.
Fenton Lake: Prescott Scargall, age 10, of Santa Fe caught a 20-inch rainbow trout with his dad, Greg, while trolling a gold spoon Nov. 9.
Grindstone Reservoir: Brothers Joaquin and Mateo Martinez, ages 9 and 7, of Los Ranchos caught their limit of rainbow trout using PowerBait Nov. 10.
Jal Lake: Kyle Thames of Jal caught a 21-inch largemouth bass using a yellow Panther Martin spinner Nov. 8.
Lake Roberts: Kezia Marin, age 5, of Bayard caught a 14-inch rainbow trout trolling a silver Kastmaster lure Nov. 9.
Oasis Park Lake: Bobby Garcia of Portales caught a 15.5-inch rainbow trout using an olive colored fly.

Fenton Lake: Hugo and Bryan Melchor of Rio Rancho caught and released two 15-inch Rio Grande cutthroat trout using red zebra midge flies Nov. 1.
Santa Cruz Reservoir: Leroy Catanach of Santa Fe caught a 23-inch rainbow trout using a Panther Martin spinner Nov. 2.

Cimarron River: Stream flow near Cimarron Monday morning was 19.1 cfs. We had no reports from anglers this week.
Clayton Lake: The lake is closed to fishing and boating until March 1, 2020.
Conchas Lake: Fishing for bass was slow. We had no reports on other species this week.
Costilla Creek: Stream flow near Costilla Monday was 7.5 cfs. We had no reports from anglers this week.
Cowles Ponds: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Coyote Creek: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Eagle Nest Lake: Fishing for trout was good using salmon peach glitter and salmon egg red glitter PowerBait. Fishing for kokanee salmon, using snagging hooks, was fair to good on the lake’s west side and the far south side near Cieneguilla Day Use Area. We had no reports on other species this week.
Eagle Rock Lake: Fishing for trout was good using PowerBait, salmon eggs and worms.
Fawn Lakes: The last report was that high runoff water has created poor fishing conditions.
Gallinas River: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Hopewell Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Lake Alice: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Lake Maloya: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Los Pinos River: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Maxwell Lake 13: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Monastery Lake: Fishing for trout was good using salmon eggs and peach PowerBait.
Morphy Lake: Closed for a renovation project on the dam and no firm opening date has been set.
Pecos River: Stream flow near the town of Pecos Monday morning was 23.5 cfs. Fishing for trout was good using legged nymph flies and PowerBait.
Red River: Stream flow below the hatchery Monday morning was 44.1 cfs. Fishing for trout was good using salmon eggs, nymph flies, Blue Winged Olives, Copper Johns and Pheasant Tails.
Rio Grande: Stream flow at the Taos Junction Bridge Monday morning was 311 cfs. Fishing for trout was very good from the Red River confluence downstream through Pilar. Anglers reported having success using small mayfly dries, nymphs and emergers in the afternoons.
Rio Hondo: Stream flow Monday morning near Valdez was 12.2 cfs. We had no reports from anglers this week.
Rio Mora: Stream flow Monday morning was 9.72 cfs. We had no reports from anglers this week.
Rio Pueblo: Stream flow near Penasco Monday morning was 8.48 cfs. We had no reports from anglers this week.
Santa Cruz Reservoir: Fishing for trout was good using Panther Martin spinners.
Shuree Ponds: We had no reports from anglers this week. Fishing is open on the Valle Vidal, including Shuree Ponds, July 1-Dec. 31.
Springer Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Storrie Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Stubblefield Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Ute Lake: Fishing for white bass was good using jigging slabs and blade baits in 30 to 35 feet of water on main lake flats. Fishing for walleye was good using jigs tipped with live minnows, Gulp minnows and blade baits in 35 to 40 feet of water. We had no reports on other species. The main lake was a stained color and the water temperature was in the low 50s.
Northwest Fishing Report
Abiquiu Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week. Due to low water levels, anglers are advised to use four-wheel drive vehicles to launch boats and watch for obstructions on the water.
Animas River: Water flow below Aztec Monday morning was 296 cfs. We had no reports from anglers this week.
Albuquerque Area Drains: An angler reported catching carp using night crawlers.
Bluewater Lake: Fishing for tiger muskie was fair using crank baits and jerk baits. We had no reports on other species this week.
Brazos River: Fishing for trout was good using nymph flies and salmon eggs.
Canjilon Lakes: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Chama River: Monday morning flows below El Vado Lake and Abiquiu Lake were 945 cfs and 925 cfs respectively. Fishing for trout below El Vado Lake was good using Panther Martin spinners, bead head nymph pattern flies, nightcrawlers and PowerBait. Fishing for trout below Abiquiu Lake was fair using egg pattern flies, bead head nymphs, Woolly Buggers and yellow steamers.
Cochiti Lake: Fishing for catfish was good using cutbait in 14-feet of water.
El Vado Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Fenton Lake: Fishing for trout was good using gold spoons, meal worms, red zebra midge flies, leach pattern flies, mop flies and bead head nymph flies. Remember that only two cutthroat trout are allowed to be harvested per day within the regular five fish limit.
Heron Lake: Fishing for kokanee salmon was fair to good using snagging hooks near the dam.
Jemez Waters: Stream flow on the Jemez River near the town of Jemez Monday morning was 15 cfs. Fishing for brown trout on the upper streams was good using Copper Johns and worms. Fishing for trout below Battleship Rock was good using a variety of baits.
Laguna del Campo: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Lagunitas Lakes: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Lake Farmington: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Manzano Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
McGaffey Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
Navajo Lake: Fishing for kokanee salmon using snagging hooks was good around the dam. Kokanee salmon snagging season is open Oct. 1 – Dec. 31. We had no reports on other species.
San Gregorio Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.
San Juan River: Stream flow Monday morning was 320 cfs. The Bureau of Reclamation scheduled a decrease in the release from Navajo Reservoir from 500 cfs to 300 cfs on Tuesday Oct. 29. at 4:00 a.m., and back to 500 cfs on Thursday Nov. 14 at 4:00 a.m. Fishing for trout in the quality water was very good using midge pattern flies and Blue Winged Olives. Fishing the lower section of river for trout was good using Baetis fly patterns. Dry fly fishing has been good lately.
Seven Springs Brood Pond: Fishing for trout was good using spinners, PowerBait and salmon eggs.
Tingley Beach: Fishing for trout was good using a black and purple Woolly Bugger fished either with a casting bubble or with a fly rod.
Trout Lakes: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Alumni Pond: Fishing for trout was fair to good using corn-favored PowerBait.
Bear Canyon Lake: Fishing for trout was good using Panther Martin spinners and salmon eggs.

Caballo Lake: Fishing for catfish was fair to good using minnows.
Elephant Butte Lake: Fishing was reported as slow. Anglers reported catching a few white bass. We had no reports on other species this week.
