REGULAR LOCAL ELECTION PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to the Regular Local Election Act, NMSA 1978, Sections 1-22-2 to 1-22-19 (1969, as amended through 2019), I, Rayetta M. Trujillo, Clerk of Colfax County by virtue of the authority vested in me, do hereby issue the following proclamation:

That a Regular Local Election is called to be held throughout the State of New Mexico and in each county and precinct thereof on November 5, 2019; and

That a Regular Local Election shall be a nonpartisan election, and the names of all candidates shall be listed on the ballot with no party or slate designation; and

That a Regular Local Election shall be held to elect qualified persons to membership on a local governing body and, where applicable, to elect municipal officers for the following offices:

Shall the Village of Angel Fire issue up to $4,000,000 of general obligation bonds, to be repaid from property taxes, for the purpose of designing, engineering, constructing and otherwise improving roads and related improvements within the Village, including purchasing capital equipment for such projects?

GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND WATER AND WASTEWATER SYSTEM

Shall the Village of Angel Fire issue up to $4,000,000 of general obligation bonds, to be repaid from property taxes, for the purpose of designing, engineering, constructing and otherwise improving the Village’s water and wastewater system?

GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND CIMARRON SCHOOL DISTRICT

“Shall the Board of Education of the Cimarron Municipal School District No.3, County of Colfax, New Mexico, be authorized to issue up to $6,000,000 of general obligation bonds for the purpose of erecting, remodeling, equipping and furnishing school buildings; purchasing or improving school grounds; purchasing computer software and hardware for student use in public schools; providing matching funds for capital outlay projects funded pursuant to the Public School Capital Outlay Act; or any combination of these purposes?”
GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND RATON SCHOOL DISTRICT

Shall the Board of Education of the Raton Public School District No. 11, County of Colfax, State of New Mexico, be authorized to issue general obligation bonds of the District, in one series or more, in the aggregate principal amount not exceeding $2,000,000, for the purpose of erecting, remodeling, making additions to and furnishing school buildings, purchasing or improving school grounds, purchasing computer software and hardware for student use in public schools, providing matching funds for capital outlay projects funded pursuant to the Public School Capital Outlay Act; or any combination of these purposes, said bonds to be payable from general (ad valorem) taxes and to be issued and sold at such time or times upon such terms and conditions as the Board may determine?

GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND SPRINGER SCHOOL DISTRICT

“Shall the Board of Education of the Springer Municipal School District No. 24, Colfax County and Union County (District No. 49), New Mexico, be authorized to issue up to $2,500,000 of general obligation bonds for the purpose of erecting, remodeling, equipping and furnishing school buildings; purchasing or improving school grounds; purchasing computer software and hardware for student use in public schools; providing matching funds for capital outlay projects funded pursuant to the Public School Capital Outlay Act; or any combination of these purposes?”
