Rose Zamborelli, age 98, left her earthly home to be with her Lord in heaven on October 17, 2019. She was born in Sunnyside, Utah on May 12, 1921 to Domenica (Rossi) and Rocco DeAngelis.
Rose was united in marriage to August Zamborelli on December 26, 1937 at the Holy Trinity rectory. They celebrated 56 years of marriage. She was employed as a sales clerk for various department stores in Trinidad. Rose was active in the Sopris PTA, March of Dimes, Shamrock Hobby Club, Supper Club and her Bridge Club.
Rose knew no strangers and was a friend to all. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and especially her great grandchildren. She loved the Broncos, Rockies and Nuggets. She was an excellent baker and cook and loved her flowers and rose garden. Rose was a woman of faith and loved reading her bible daily. She will be missed by all who loved her.
Preceding her in death are parent Domenica and Rocco DeAngelis, husband August Zamborelli, daughter Antionette Watson, brother Joe, Louis and Angelo (Chip) DeAngelis, and sisters in law Thelma Pacheco, Helen Zamborelli, Mary DeAngelis, and Laura DeAngelis. Survivors are her children, Robert (Judie) Zamborelli (San Jose, CA), Tom (Vicki) Zaborelli (Colorado Springs), son-in-law Bill Watson (Trinidad), granchildren, Lori (Mark) Macaluso (Trinidad), Lynn (David) Berri (Cedar City, Iowa), Leslee (Fred) Flores (Trinidad), Tom Zamborelli (Lafayette, CO), Stephen (Tami) Zamborelli (Colorado Springs), Tim (Cindy) Zamborelli (San Jose, CA), Kristen (Chris) Loew (Palo Alto, CA), and Jill (John) Backer (Atascadero, CA), eleven great grandchildren, and many extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 21, 2019 from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Comi Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at 10 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church followed by graveside services at the Masonic Cemetery.
