Nellie S. Marquez passed away on October 4, 2019. She was born to Soloman and Lucy Herrera on July 2, 1944. Nellie is preceded in death by her parents Soloman and Lucy Herrera.
Nellie is survived by her husband Joe Marquez and six sons: Joe and Carol Marquez and children, Billy, Christi, Olivia, Mark, Tyler, Ashley, Caden and allisa,and Aaron. Chris and Krickett Marquez and children, Christopher, Christian, Angel, Shawn. Jesse and Donna Marquez and children, Jenna, Cory. Tim and Melissa Marquez and children, Anthony, Timothy, Lucas, Brandy, Haylee, DeVondre and Jaden. Mike and Denise Marquez and children, Adrianna, Jordan, Karli, Michael Jr. Aliyah, Riley, Miguel, Patrick, Alandria, Tristen, McKinzi, Amiyah and Samantha. Ray and Rheeannon Marquez and children, Antenella, and Tristin.
Also, surviving Nellie are 4 sisters; Rosalie Perera, Mary Gaytan, Margret Santos and Caroline Badillo and 3 brothers; Soloman Herrera Jr., Richard Herrera and Lawrence Herrera.
Recitation of The Most Holy Rosary will be held on Thursday October 10, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home recited by Father Patrick McGuire. Solemn Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Friday October 11, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s/St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Raton NM with Father Bill Woytavich as the Celebrant. Rite of Committal and Internment will follow at the Marquez Cemetery in Des Moines.
