In Loving Memory of Fred W. Floyd

Fred W. Floyd, age 81, passed away Wednesday September 25, 2019 in Raton, New Mexico. He was born July 7, 1938 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas and was the son of John W. and Maude Carpenter-Floyd. Fred was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and a retired software development manager and engineer. He loved watching westerns, playing his guitar, and tinkering with computers. He often found creative outlet through painting and woodworking.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother David Floyd, sister Marilyn Coppy and grandson Daniel Czerwinsky. Fred is survived by his wife, Carol, of the home, two daughters Mary Maude Czerwinsky and husband Michael of Sparks, NV, and Samantha Marie Lapid Muncy Floyd of State College, PA, two brothers Wesley Floyd and wife Debbie of Gladstone, NM, and Otis Floyd and wife Dixie of Raton, NM. Three sisters, Jeannie Burton and husband Frank of Springer, NM, Nancy Hatcher and husband Bill of Springer, NM, and Patsy Christenson of Green River, WY. Sister in law Alandra Floyd of Raton, NM. Seven grandchildren, Michael Czerwinsky Jr. and wife Amanda, CeeJai Lentz-Chaires and husband William, Jeremy John Czerwinsky, Amanda Czerwinsky, Joshua David Czerwinsky, Spencer Floyd Czerwinsky and Benjamin Czerwinsky and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday September 30, 2019 at 1:30 P.M. at the Little Rock Church on the Johnson Mesa with Rev. Jack Walton officiating, burial will be in the Red Mountain Cemetery on the Johnson Mesa. Military Honors will be provided by the Raton V.F.W.

After the service, there will be a potluck held at the Floyd family home on the Johnson Mesa. (Located down the road from the Little Rock Church)

Arrangements and celebration of love for Fred W. Floyd are under the direction of the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home of Raton.
