Raton High began Homecoming week this week hosting the Trinidad Lady Miners for a volleyball match Tuesday evening September 17, 2019.

The Raton JV girls made their mark Tuesday as they won the first game of their match over Trinidad with a three point win and followed that one up with a resounding 12 point win in the second game of the match.

The varsity team however, didn’t fair so well as they dropped the first game despite some strong play by the tall girls of Ginger Baird and Aliana Garcia at the net. Trinidad finished off the game with a 13 point win and followed that up with another 12 point win despite Raton tying the game at five.

Game three saw the Lady Miners once again take the early lead and simply run away with the game finishing it off with a solid 15 point win.
