Lita M. Sandoval (“Lee”) age 78, of Raton, NM passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2019 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Lita was born on February 2, 1941 in Walsenburg, Colorado, and was the second daughter to Vidal Ramon Machado and Margaret Flores Machado. Lita graduated from Raton High School in 1959 and after working more than 30 years in the medical field retired as office manager for Internal Medicine Associates of Raton, NM
Lita is survived by her husband of 57 years, Alfred R. Sandoval, children Mona Sandoval, Tina Bird, and Marie & husband Ron Trujillo, all of Raton, NM, AND Vidal Sandoval of Cimarron, NM. Lita is also survived by her (7) grandchildren: Breannon, Montana and Carson Trujillo, Alee and Darion Bird, and Vidal Jr. and Kiana Sandoval.
Lita is also survived by her sisters, Marie Garcia of Albuquerque, NM and Jeannette Encinias of Raton, NM. Numerous nieces, nephews and family also survive.
Lita was preceded in death by her parents, Vidal Ramon Machado and Margaret Flores Machado.
Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be held on Friday, September 20, 2019 at 10:00 am at the St. Patrick’s-St. Joseph’s Church, recited by Deacon Thomas Alderette and followed by the Solemn Mass of the Resurrection at 10:30 am with Father Bill Woytavich as the Celebrant. Rite of committal and inurnment will be at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Funeral Arrangements for Lita M. Sandoval (“Lee”) are under the direction of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home.
