Emilio Delfino Urioste, 96, of Boise City, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2019, surrounded by close family and friends.
Emilio is survived by his wife Rose Urioste of 48 years, daughter Juanita (Dan) Pemwell, son Emilio (Candise) Urioste Jr., son Douglas (Angela) Colwell, son Kelly (Liz) Colwell, son Billy (Debbie) McNelly, and many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. Emilio was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend to everyone.
Emilio loved to work on his ’56 Chevy, which he loved to take long car rides in with his loving wife. He was a veteran of the Korean War and WWII and served his Country honorably. He worked as an aluminum foundry worker at Dowell Aluminum Foundry, Inc. for over 25 years, and retired in 1992. He spent his free time after retirement polishing his car and shoes, making jewelry out of rocks, making shapes and figures for his kids out his homemade tortillas, playing the guitar for his Family, and traveling to unique and exciting places. Emilio was always there to help family and friends and truly enjoyed making everyone laugh with his corny, but humorous, jokes.
A special thank you to the people at Spanish Peaks Veterans Community Living Center in Walsenburg, CO for their loving care and support during his final years as he suffered through Alzheimer’s. While in the Hospital, the family would specifically like to thank both Hannah and Dan, RN’s that took the upmost care of Emilio during his final days.
A celebration of Emilio Urioste’s life will follow at a later date.
Arrangements for Emilio Urioste are under the direction of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home.
