The Raton School Board meeting held on Friday, July 22nd had a special item on the agenda with the Raton Board of Education. Robert Gonzales of Raton was recognized by his fellow staff and presented by the board with a NMSBA Student Achievement Award for his excellent work as a school crossing guard. Mr Gonzales has been keeping Raton students safe throughout the school year for many years. Thank you Mr. Gonzalez for your passion and care of our students!
