Rowena Ann Layton age 85 of Raton passed away Wednesday June 26, 2019 in Pueblo, Colorado.
She was born December 1, 1933 in Del Norte, Colorado the daughter of Albert and Bertha Hoffman-Cummings. Rowena was a home maker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband John, son John Lee Layton and daughter Carolyn Layton . She is survived by one daughter, Lucy Valadez and husband Gabriel of Raton, three sons, Michael Layton Sr. and finance Wendy of Clearwater, Kansas, Rodney Layton and wife Anna of Clearwater, Kansas, and Harold Layton of Raton, New Mexico, one sister Lucienne Penka of Tulsa, Oklahoma eleven grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday July 3, 2019 from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with services to follow at 11:00 A.M. with President Jarred Chatterly officiating. Burial will be in the Maxwell Cemetery in Maxwell, NM.
