Robert Richard Dorrance (Robear to many) went to be with the Lord on July 1, 2019. He was born to Felia (Samora) and Daniel C. Dorrance on January 20, 1958 in Raton.
Robert worked as a coal miner for many years and then with Wonder Bread where he got to know so many people. Every place he ever went somebody knew him and would go out of their way to talk to him. Robert was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was such a hardworking loving man and instilled this into his children. He touched the lives of so many people with his personality and wit by his gentle kind way and cracking jokes. You could always see Robert at Raton Tiger athletic events either working the scorer’s table or ticket booth or just being a fan. He had such a good connection with all the students starting from the time his kids were in school to being by his wife’s side while she coached. Robert will forever be remembered by those who were blessed to know him.
He is preceded in death by his parents Felia and Daniel C. Dorrance. He is survived by his wife Tinabeth Dorrance, sons Brandon Dorrance and wife Cayla Bergsieker, Justin Dorrance and wife Kameron Dorrance, daughters Jessica Dorrance, Shania Dorrance, and Kallista Dorrance grandchildren Azariah, Nevaeh, and Zacchaeus Dorrance. His sister Linda Mascarenas and husband Frank, brothers Danny Dorrance and wife Patsy and Johnny Dorrance and wife Margie. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service for Robert Richard Dorrance will be on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church, Raton, NM with Nathan Ramirez Officiating.
Arrangements for Robert Richard Dorrance are under the direction of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home.
