In Loving Memory of Reynaldo Jose’ Balizan

Reynaldo Jose Balizan, age 96, closed his eyes to this world and opened them in heaven with his Lord and a multitude of angels to greet him on July 3, 2019.  Reynaldo was born on March 31, 1923 in Aurora, NM to his parents Francisco Balizan and Rufina Encinias, who preceded him in death.  He was also preceded in death by his sister, Sarita Balizan-Lucero, brothers Arsenio Balizan and Pat Balizan.  He is survived by his sister, Sadie Sandoval, and his loving wife of 66 years, Carmen Balizan of the family home, his 11 sons: Tony (Frances)Balizan, Frankie (Tommie) Balizan, Steve Balizan, Chris (Lisa) Balizan,Fr. Daniel M. Balizan, Victor (Debra) Balizan, David Balizan (Christy),

Gilbert Balizan (Paula), George Balizan (Maria), Michael Balizan (Kathleen), and Patrick (Savannah) Balizan and his 1 daughter, Carolyn (Bob) Boren; 36 grandchildren: Anthony (Rosie), Angelique (Adam), Thunder (Carolina), Elizabeth (Wassim), Candralee (Tone), Reynaldo “Buster” (Angelica); Frankie Paul (Alicia), Monica (Jaydee), Kendra (Sean); Karen (Billy); Crystal (Jason), Celina (Dan), Christopher (Whitney); Juan (Leana), Jacob; Sherman (Kelsea), Leeann (Jeff), Jacob; David Ray, John Matthew, Mark Isaac;  Paola (Alan), Iris; Johnny,Michael, Travis, Rachel; Ben, Gabriella; Mathew John; Orion, Lorenzo, Aneilia, Isaiah, Paxton, Faith; 49 great grandchildren:  Paulina (Sedrick), Christopher (Shyloe); Xavier, Wyatt, Izabella, Quincey, Heavenly,Bailey; Baily, Shea, Ezra; Laylah, Aiden; Carmen, Fiona, Tone;  Madison, Dorian, Adam, Tatum, Chase, Malorie, Bianca, Brayden; Jazmin, Zayden, Zeeken, Zaylee; Rhiauna, Nevayah, Moriah, Aries, Nolan, Zion, Marcos, Mateo; Isabella; Karlee, Hayden, Haylee, Kendall, Grady,Payton; Shaun, Micah; Jadin, Jackson, Memphis, Cairin; and,2 great-great grandchildren:  Valentino, Aviana and numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren and friends also survive.

Rosary will be Monday, July 8, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Springer recited by Fr. Daniel M. Balizan and Tommy Baca.  Mass of the Resurrection will be on Tuesday, July 9 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Springer with Celebrant Fr. Daniel M. Balizan and main  Con-celebrant Fr. Benoit Trieu Van Vu   Internment at Springer Cemetery following the Mass. 

 

Pall Bearers will be all of his children grandchildren and Honorary Pall Bearers will be all of his great grandchildren.
