Joyce Rossetti age 92 or Raton, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2019 in Raton. She was born April 13, 1927 is Van Houten, New Mexico the daughter of David R. and Gertrude Bartholomew-McCormick. Joyce was a home maker, a member of St. Patrick’s-St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Raton where she was very active in the funeral ministry, and all church activities. Joyce attended the Knights of Columbus activities with her husband TD, was a cub scout leader, member of the Tiger Moms, taught catechism and was a cook at the St. Patrick’s School.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Orlando “TD” Rossetti, infant daughter, Renee Joy, three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by six children, Alandra Sue Floyd, of Raton, NM, Ronnie Lee Rossetti and wife Carolyn of Arvada, CO., Debbie Marie Vigil and husband Joe of Pueblo, CO., Julie Osborn and husband Gerald of Raton, NM, John Anthony Rossetti and wife Annette of Pingree Grove, Ill., and Richard Kip Rossetti and wife Sandra of San Diego, CA., sister Janet Berry of Raton, NM, twenty -three grandchildren and thirty- four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 26, 2019 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home.
Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 10 AM at St. Patrick’s – St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Raton recited by the Knight of Columbus. Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 10:30 AM with Father William Woytavich as the celebrant. Rite of Christian burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Raton.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to the Diabetes Association.
Arrangements and celebration of love for Joyce Rossetti are under the direction of the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home of Raton.
