Learn about economic development best practices and have a
voice in the next phase of Raton’s economic future.
The City has hired the economic development consulting group Better City to help
create and implement an economic development strategy. This meeting will introduce community members to the topics and implementation steps which the City
will use in its economic development strategy. Please attend this open house to:
– Learn about economic development best practices
– Discuss funding and implementation strategies
– Provide input and prioritize community needs
To get into more specifics, we will be covering best practices and recommended steps in the following categories:
Workforce Development
Entrepreneurship
Sustainable Economic Development
Downtown Revitalization
Business Retention and Expansion
Outdoor Recreation
These aspects of economic development will be the main focus of the community moving forward. We will have about an hour of education covering these topics, followed by a community Q&A forum so community members can ask questions, voice concerns, and pitch their ideas.
