Roberta Thomas Heimann, age 86, died Saturday, June 15, 2019 in Dalhart, Texas.

Roberta’s family will have a meal at 11:30 AM followed by her funeral service at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at the Amistad United Methodist Church in Amistad, New Mexico with Lynn Clay officiating. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.

Roberta Thomas Heimann was born on May 28, 1933 in Amistad, New Mexico to Warren R. Thomas and Hilda (Nagel) Thomas. She attended school in Amistad and Dalhart and enjoyed square dancing as a young girl. Roberta lived most of her life in the Amistad area and she lived in Dalhart for a few years also. Roberta was an accomplished seamstress and did seamstress work for many people and she also taught numerous 4H students over the years. Roberta married J Heimann and together they had four sons. Roberta later worked as a seamstress in Dalhart until she moved back to the ranch to care for her mother. After returning to the ranch, Roberta operated a contracting business and enjoyed caring for her very large lawn. Roberta was preceded in death by her father, Warren R. Thomas on July 4, 1968; her mother, Hilda Thomas Roberts on October 12, 1999 and by a son, Randy Heimann on August 3, 1983.

SURVIVORS:

3 SONS: Jay Dee Heimann and his wife Kim of Clayton, New Mexico and Gene Heimann and his wife Deborah and Russell Heimann and Terre Girard all of Bueyeros, New Mexico.

4 GRANDCHILDREN: Cody J. Heimann and his wife Hesper of Bueyeros, New Mexico, Myah Crisp and her husband Billy of Sedan, New Mexico, Morgan Mangelsdorf and her husband Dee of Hayden, New Mexico and Chance Heimann and his wife Casey of Amistad, New Mexico.

11 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Wyatt Heimann, Rhett Heimann, Mason Crisp, McKinlee Crisp, Mandy Crisp, Adrian Heimann, Walter Mangelsdorf, Randal Mangelsdorf, Trent Heimann, Newt Heimann and Emmalynn Heimann.

And an honorary Son, Jimmy Clay and a very special niece, Deana Shugart.
