Joshua Jesus Mendez, age18, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 1, 2019, at his home in Raton, NM. He was born in Garden City, Kansas o October 6, 2000 and grew up in Raton, NM.
Joshua had a love for cars, animals (his pets), baseball, family and friends. He was a kind happy soul with heart pure as gold. Joshua always smiled!!! He leaves behind his mother Tamara Mendez, father Christoval Montoya, sister Deznie Montoya; Grandparents; Jimmy Mendez and Frances Mendez and Vera Cordova. Aunt Jessica Mendez and Uncle Joseph Sambrano, Uncle Jimmy Mendez and Aunt Jolene Romero, Uncle Jarred Mendez and Uncle Zekiel Montoya. Joshua is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Joshua is preceded in death by his grandma Isabel Romero, Great-Grandpa Camillo Cordova and many loved ones.
Solemn Mass of the Resurrection will be on Tuesday June 11, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s/St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Raton NM with Father Bill Woytavich as the Celebrant. Rite of Committal and Internment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
