In Loving Memory of John J. “Jack” Kosovich

John J. “Jack” Kosovich, 85, of Bon Carbo, CO, born July 11, 1933, passed away May 2, 2019. Born in Brooklyn, NY to Anna and John A. Kosovich. Met and married Anne “Antoinette” Iglio in Brooklyn and then moved to Bon Carbo to start their new life near where his paternal grandparents lived during the coal mining era. He taught mathematics and science at Trinidad State Junior College for many years, then kept busy as a surveyor and rancher after retiring from teaching. He loved to laugh and joke around with people and he treasured little children. Jack’s larger-than-life personality was balanced by a kind, caring, religious soul, and he was greatly loved and respected by his wife, two sons, and family members, his students, and members of the community who knew him.

Preceded in death by wife of 58 years Anne and parents John and Anna. Survived by sons John (Annie) and Thomas (Kimberly); grandchildren Varina (David), Nicholas, Thomas Jr., Eric (Claire), Matthew, Steven, Brendan (Sarah), Molly, Anthony, Lisa, and Katherine; great-grandchildren Kurt, Naomi, Lilia and John “Jack”; step grandchild Kiley; and cousin Barbara.

Visitation will be Friday May, 10, 2019 from 9am-10am at the Comi Funeral Home Chapel in followed by recitation of the Most Holy Rosary and Religious Services Burial will be private.
