Carmen J. Espinoza, of Cimarron, NM, entered eternal life peacefully on April 25, 2019 at the age of 79.
Carmen was born on March 19, 1940 in Cimarron, NM to Trinidad Cordova and Martha Vargas. She married Casey Espinoza Jr in Cimarron in 1956. Together they had eight children: Marti, Casey, Henry, Norman, Ken, Clifford, Aaron, and Robin. Carmen was a homemaker for most of her life, but she later returned to school to graduate with an Associates Degree in Accounting. For many years she was also a volunteer for the Senior Companion Program, where she came to love all the clients she worked with, and they loved her just as much.
One of the things Carmen enjoyed most was having company over. And she had the best sense of humor. She could always make everyone laugh, even in the hardest situations. Anyone who knew her also knew her strong love of books and reading. You could always find a couple of books within her reach.
Carmen is survived by her two daughters: Martha Caro, and Robin Espinoza. Grandchildren Amber Caro, Eva Takashima (Wade Takashima), Mario Caro (Marcela Caro), Jesse Espinoza, Eli Almanza, Trish Olivas, Nate Olivas, Matthew Duran Sr. (Sara Duran), Joaquin Chavez (Juanita), and Roberta Hernandez. Great grandchildren: Sierra Underwood, Layla, Brennan Takashima, Matthew Martinez, Anaida Martinez, Micah Acosta, Jeremiah Espinoza, Zeke Duran, Matthew Duran Jr., Reona Duran, Angelo and Bobby Hernandez, DJ Sappinton as well as her aunts, in-laws, and the countless friends who loved her dearly.
Carmen is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Casey Espinoza Jr., her sons Clifford Espinoza, Casey Lee Espinoza, Norman Espinoza, Henry Espinoza, Aaron Espinoza, and Kenneth Espinoza.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
