West Las Vegas Takes District Double Header Make-up Games Wednesday

Raton hosted the district double header make-up games in Raton on Wednesday afternoon at Jim Wade Field after the games were cancelled earlier in the month due to weather.

In game one Raton fell behind West in the first inning allowing West to put eight base runners across home plate. West held Raton to two three and outs before Raton muster four runs in the third. West added two more in the second inning with three more runs coming in the fourth. When it was all said and done West took game one 15-5. West Las Vegas pitcher Andrea Ulibarri four strikeouts while Raton’s Crystal Ortiz pulled out three.

In game two it was all West Las Vegas with Breeanna Graston sending the ball over the center field fence for a two run homer late in the game. West ended the game in five innings with a 17-0 shutout. West pitcher Jennifer Sanchez four strikeouts while Raton’s Jadyn Walton managed two.
