It was a cool overcast day at Jim Wade Field in Raton Thursday afternoon April 11, as the Lady Tigers took to the field to host the Sandia Prep Sundevils for a district doubleheader.

In game one it was all Lady Tigers after Sandia Prep Teresa Torivio made it around the bases to give them the one run lead in the first inning. Raton rallied it up scoring six runs in the first inning while holding Sandia Prep scoreless the remainder of the game. Raton added two in the second and three in the third topping the win with a fourth inning rally to make it 17-1.

In game two Raton once again allowed a run in the first inning and then came back and scored nine. Raton went on to score one in the second and another two in the third before Prep added four in the fifth. Raton then ended the game with three more runs and the 10-run rule in the fifth inning at 15-5.
