Betty L. Sandoval, of Raton passed away on April 6th, 2019 at MCMC Long Term where she had resided for the last 4 years. Betty was born on March 22, 1930 in Dawson, NM , to the late Albert & Famie Richardson. Preceding her in death was brother, Albert Richardson Jr.,sisters, Famie Kilgass, Nell George, Genevieve (Johnnie) Shawn and Lois Richardson. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great, who was cherished, loved and will be deeply missed. She is survived by her husband , Ted L. Sandoval, Sr. whom she was married to for 70 years. She was the bookkeeper for their business, “Sandoval Auto Repair” which they started together in 1977, until her retirement. The business is still in operation today. She is also survived by son Ted Sandoval Jr.,(JoAnn), daughters Carolyn Sue Garcia (Albert), Betty Jean Evans (JB) all of Raton and JoEllen Owerko ( John) of Albuquerque. Nine Grandchildren: Kevin, Tammy, David, Steven, Donnie, Albert, James, Alisha and Johanna. Nineteen great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren. Brother Bill Richardson (Sharon), Crane, TX, sisters Doris Niner (Frank), Los Lunas, NM, and Faye Avila of Raton. Special Sister-in-law, Jeanie Richardson, Woody, CA. Brother-in-law Chris Sandoval (Patsy), Angel Fire, NM. Sister-in-laws Frances Griego, Pueblo, CO; Dolores Griego, Tempe, AZ; Ruby Cortez, Miami, NM; Mary Martinez, Isabel Lloyd and Louise Johnson (Jim) all of Cimarron, NM and Martha Rachel (Neal) of Denver, CO, and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Rosary services will be Friday, April 12, 2019 at 1:30 P.M. at the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home Chapel recited by Frank Cimino Jr. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Nathan Ramirez officiating.
