The Lady Braves started the game off with three hits and then pushed those three runners around the bases to create a 3-0 lead in the first inning against the Lady Tigers at Jim Wade Field in Raton Thursday April 4.

The Lady Tigers struggled in the first two innings of the game trying to come back from a double header defeat earlier in the week against the Lady Braves in Santa Fe. The Lady Braves however added tow more in the second inning to take a quick 5-0 lead.

Raton finally managed to score a run third as Sydney Romero came in on a single. Raton then went three and out and four and out before they crossed home plate again in the sixth. The Lady Braves answered each run with their own in the fourth on single hit after Kiera Mermejo-Varga successfully stole second and in the sixth and seventh to make it an 8-2 ball game. Raton was unable to score despite getting two runners on in the bottom of the seventh.
