In Loving Memory of Joshua Mark Jacobs

Joshua Mark Jacobs, age 33, died Monday, March 25, 2019 in Amarillo, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday March 30, 2019 at the Clayton Gospel Church with Pastor Mike Phipps officiating. Burial will follow in the Grenville Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.

Joshua Mark Jacobs was born on November 25, 1985 in Raton, New Mexico to Ronald Byron Jacobs and Judy Fawn (Earle) Jacobs. He attended school and graduated from Des Moines High School in 2004. He was a natural born athlete who excelled at anything he put his mind to. He won numerous awards throughout his high school basketball career. Joshua grew up working on various ranches around Union County, and he was known for his love of horses and truly loved their companionship. He broke many colts throughout his life. Joshua definitely had a way with horses and on any given day, if given the choice, you could find him horseback. He began rodeoing when he was young. He rode bulls all over and was known for being a very talented rider. He began riding saddle broncs in ranch rodeos the past couple of years and was most proud of placing 4th at the 4th of July rodeo in Clayton last summer. His “baby boy” Xander Joshua Jacobs was born on October 12, 2004. He is the love of Joshua’s life and is what he was most proud of in his life. Xander consumed Joshua’s heart and is his legacy. Joshua accepted Christ on December 10, 2011. He married Denise Gonzales in 2011. Joshua loved his life, living and working the ranch life in Hayden for the Heimann’s. He was truly blessed by this family and was known for saying “God, I Love This Life”. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Cotton and Irene Earle and Michael and Mrylene Jacobs.

WIFE: Denise Gonzales of Clayton, New Mexico.

1 SON: Xander Joshua Jacobs of Tijeras, New Mexico.

His Mother: Judy Jacobs of Grenville, New Mexico.

His Father: Byron Jacobs of Pagosa Springs, Colorado.

1 SISTER: Lanette Jacobs of Grenville, New Mexico.

4 BROTHERS: Eddie Jacobs and Amber, Aaron Jacobs, Bryan Jacobs and Jonathan Valdez all of Clayton, New Mexico.

Nieces & Nephews: Aloria Luna, Tristen Jacobs, Alli Trujillo, Justin Jacobs, Hayden Jacobs, Isaiah Jacobs, Valerie Jacobs, Namine Jacobs, Judyanna Jacobs, Jesse Overmyer and Raylee Jacobs.

Aunts and Uncles: Betty Oldham, Eddie & Diane Earle, H. J. And Pancha Earle, Jeff Earle, Bertha Carter, M. J. Owens, Carolyn Alarid, Marilyn & Harold Markel and Jo & Carlos Armijo.
