Tuesday Morning March 12, the three member Colfax County Commission unanimously approved the 2nd Amendment resolution making Colfax County a 2nd Amendment Sanctuary County.
Resolution 2019-08 was passed on a 3-0 vote by the Colfax County Commission after hearing discussion from four people in the standing room only court room. Commission Chairman Bobby LeDoux held comments to only three minutes which was just enough time to hear the Colfax County Patriots to recite the 2nd amendment. Colfax County Manager Mary Lou Kern spoke afterwards stating that “Guns, as we all know are not the problem, they are not the enemy. Until this community, our state and this nation, wakes up and realizes that mental health and drugs are the problem. Guns will be Attacked.” Kern went on to challenge the standing room only crowd to contact their state and federal legislators with the same passion and determination that they have shown here in the last couple of weeks encouraging them to open more mental health facilities, treatment facilities, half way houses and ways to treat the problem.

I’m looking to get out of Bernalillo County & you folks seem like my kind of people! Praying for this job to come through near eagle’s nest, & hoping to permanently relocate👍🏽👍🏽
Many props to Colfax County, NM! Some sanity going in the counties even though the state legislature and governor have gone rogue from the U.S. Constitution.
