The Lady Dons travelled up from West Las Vegas to take on the Lady Tigers in a district match up that left Raton on the short end again as the Lady Dons took home three wins on the evening, Wednesday, February13th.
The varsity game saw Raton stay in the single digits for scoring until the fourth when they managed to put in 14 points on the evening. West on the other hand scored in double digits the first three quarters and only seven in the fourth. As the final buzzer sounded West took home a 66-34 win to go 2-6 in district play leaving Raton at 0-7.
The C-Team game saw the Lady Tigers struggle from the very beginning as they only managed two points while the Lady Dons raked up 31 on the first and another 14 in the second to go into half time with a 45- 2 lead. At the buzzer it was 71-12.
The Jv game faired a bit better for Raton as the Raton defense kept West in the teens for the first quarter. Raton however couldn’t buy a basket scoring only six points in the first half. At the buzzer West took home a 49-17 win.
