Two Young Adults Arrested for Stabbing Incident

Felix Patterson age 18 and Theodore Williams age 18 both have been charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon from a stabbing incident that occurred in early December on the 400 block of North Fourth in Raton.

The incident occurred as the result of accusations from Patterson that Keeyan Gertler and Mark Lucero Jr. had stolen a 9mm pistol from him. According to court documents Gertler told EMS personnel that Williams had lost the weapon at a party in Trinidad and was accusing them of having possession of the weapon.

According to court records Williams, Patterson and an underage male jumped Gertler in the front room of the residence with the fight moving to the kitchen where Lucero Jr. intervened and both victims received non-life-threatening stab wounds. According to Lucero Jr. Williams and Patterson both had knives as well as the underage male who threw his knife toward Williams when Lucero Jr. arrived.

Williams is charged with 2 counts of Aggravated Battery with a deadly weapon, 2 counts of conspiracy to commit aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, tampering with evidence and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Patterson is charged 2 counts of Aggravated Battery with a deadly weapon, 2 counts of conspiracy to commit aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, tampering with evidence and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Patterson was later arrested and charged in a separate incident of unlawfully carrying of a deadly weapon on school premises which is a violation of his release for the stabbing incident.
