Eagle Nest Lake: Levi Lucero of Taos caught a 20.5-inch rainbow trout on Nov. 6. He was fishing near the dam and using a crappie spinner with a ¼ ounce jig head and a pink curly tail grub.

Elephant Butte Lake: Dean Leavengood of Elephant Butte caught and released a 40-inch blue catfish estimated to weigh between 40- and 50-pounds Nov. 6. He was using a 4-inch black and purple flake green pumpkin tube. Kelly McKee and his son Forest of Las Cruces, caught and released a 46-inch flathead catfish estimated at over 50- pounds Nov. 4. He was using an 1/8-ounce jig with a 4-inch Gulp Alive minnow on medium light tackle. Dean Leavengood caught and released a 6-pound largemouth bass Nov. 2. He was using a green pumpkin senko.

Fenton Lake: Jerry Hicks of Albuquerque caught and released an approximately 24-inch rainbow trout Nov. 8. He was using a red and white Daredevle.

Grindstone Reservoir: Faye Luther, age 5 and Lucy Luther, age 7, of Albuquerque each caught 11-inch rainbow trout Nov. 3. It was their first fish and they were using worms.

Lake Van: Jordan Richburg, age 9 caught a 28.5-inch catfish and Kade Richburg, age 7 caught an albino catfish. They were using shrimp and night crawlers.

Navajo Lake: Steve Herrera of Santa Fe caught a 28-inch rainbow trout Nov. 7. He was trolling a crank bait through one of the fingers.

Cimarron River: Stream flow near the town of Cimarron on Monday morning was 8.07cfs. Fishing was fair to good using zebra midges and small copper John Barrs for trout. We had no reports from the Gravel Pit Lakes.

Conchas Lake: Fishing for largemouth bass and smallmouth bass slowed quite a bit this past week. A few were caught by anglers using jigs and tubes. Fishing was fair using homemade dough bait and chicken liver for catfish. Fishing was fair to good using spoons and blade baits for white bass and walleye. We had no reports on other species.

Cowles Ponds: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Coyote Creek: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Eagle Nest Lake: The docks have been pulled, but anglers can still launch boats. Fishing was very good using worms, PowerBait, Fire Balls and spinners for rainbow trout. Several limits were reported. Fishing was fair to good using worms and small jigs for perch. Fishing was fair to good using in line spinners, crank baits, spoons and worms for northern pike. Kokanee snagging picked up as two anglers managed to take limits at the mouth of Cieneguilla Creek. It took them about four hours.

Eagle Rock Lake: Fishing early in the week was fair using PowerBait, Fire Balls and worms for trout.

Fawn Lakes: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Gallinas River: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Hopewell Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Lake Alice: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Lake Maloya: Fishing was fair to good using PowerBait and salmon eggs for trout.

Los Pinos River: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Maxwell Lake 13: Closed for the season.

Monastery Lake: Fishing was good using Fire Balls, PowerBait and copper John Barrs for trout.

Morphy Lake: Work has begun on the dam and the lake will remain closed through the end of the year.

Pecos River: Stream flow near the town of Pecos on Monday morning was 30.6 cfs. Fishing was good using copper John Barrs, prince nymphs, wooly worms, San Juan worms, small egg patterns, worms and Fire Balls for brown and rainbow trout.

Red River: Stream flow below the hatchery on Monday morning was 36.3 cfs. Trout fishing below Questa was fair using Fire Balls and worms. Fishing at the hatchery pond was good using PowerBait and salmon eggs.

Rio Grande: Stream flow on Monday morning at the Taos Junction Bridge was 159 cfs. Trout fishing was good using bead head hare’s ears, pheasant tails, egg patterns, small spoons and salmon eggs. We had no reports on other species.

Rio Hondo: Stream flow on Monday morning near Valdez was 5.45 cfs. We had no reports from anglers this week.

Rio Mora: Stream flow near Terrero on Monday morning was 10.5 cfs. Fishing was fair to good using Fire Balls for trout.

Rio Pueblo: Stream flow near Penasco on Monday morning was 7.81 cfs. Fishing was slow to fair using salmon eggs for trout.

Santa Cruz Reservoir: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Shuree Ponds: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Springer Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Storrie Lake: Fishing was fair using PowerBait and Fire Balls for trout. Fishing pressure was light.

Stubblefield Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Ute Lake: Fishing was good using blade baits and spoons at 15- to 25-feet for white bass. Walleye fishing was reported as good by anglers vertical jigging blade baits at 30- to-38 feet. We had no reports on other species. Fishing pressure was light. The surface water temp dropped into the low 50s.

Abiquiu Lake: Fishing was slow for all species. Fishing pressure was light.

Animas River: Water flow below Aztec on Monday morning was 264 cfs. Trout fishing was fair to good using PowerBait, worms and salmon eggs.

Albuquerque Area Drains: Fishing on the Albuquerque Drain and the Peralta Drain was good using salmon eggs, worms and PowerBait for trout.

Bluewater Lake: Fishing was fair using large swim baits and deep diving crank baits for tiger muskie. Fishing was fair to good using night crawlers, hot dogs, shrimp and liver for catfish. We had no reports on other species. Fishing pressure has been light.

Brazos River: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Canjilon Lakes: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Chama River: Monday morning flows below El Vado and Abiquiu were 84.2 cfs and 102 cfs respectively. Trout fishing below El Vado was good using worms, salmon eggs, copper John Barrs, egg patterns and San Juan worms and for brown and rainbow trout. We had no reports from below Abiquiu.

Cochiti Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.

El Vado Lake: Kokanee snagging was slow with just a few taken near the dam. We had no reports on other species.

Fenton Lake: Fishing was fair using PowerBait, worms, gold and silver spinners and spoons and Pistol Petes for trout.

Heron Lake: Fishing was fair using roe sacs and PowerBait for rainbow trout and an occasional kokanee. Snagging was slow.

Jackson Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Jemez Waters: Stream flow on the Jemez near the town of Jemez on Monday morning was 15.5 cfs. Fishing on the Jemez and the East Fork was fair using worms, copper John Barrs, San Juan worms and salmon eggs for brown and rainbow trout. Anglers reported that worms and copper John Barrs were working best. We had no reports on other streams.

Laguna del Campo: Closed for the season.

Lagunitas Lakes: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Lake Farmington: Fishing was slow for all species.

Manzano Lake: Fishing was good using salmon peach PowerBait for trout. We had no reports on other species.

Navajo Lake: Kokanee snagging was very good as several anglers reported taking limits this past week. Fishing was fair using roe sacs, crank baits and PowerBait for trout. Fishing was fair using jigs, jig and grub combinations and worms for smallmouth bass and largemouth bass. Fishing was fair using swim baits, crank baits and jigs for northern pike. We had no reports on other species.

San Gregorio Lake: We had no reports from anglers this week.

San Juan River: Flows below Navajo Lake were reduced to 300 cfs on Nov. 9 and on Monday morning the flow was 289 cfs. Fishing was good using RS2s, red larva, WD40s, small bead head pheasant tails, red annelids, root beers and small egg patterns for brown and rainbow trout. Through the bait waters, trout fishing was good using PowerBait, Fire Balls, egg patterns and small gold spoons.

Seven Springs Brood Pond: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Tingley Beach: Fishing was very good using PowerBait and salmon eggs for trout. We had no reports on other species.

Trout Lakes: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Alumni Pond: We had no reports from anglers this week.

Bear Canyon Lake: Fishing was fair to good using PowerBait, salmon eggs and small spoons for trout.

Elephant Butte Lake: Fishing was slow to fair using spoons, curly tail grubs and blade baits for white bass. Fishing for largemouth bass and smallmouth bass was slow but a few were caught by anglers using jigs, creature baits and spinnerbaits. Fishing was very good using chicken liver, night crawlers, shrimp, cut bait and plastics for catfish. We had no reports on other species. The surface water temp was in the high 50s.

Escondida Lake: Fishing was good using PowerBait, worms, spinners and Pistol Petes for trout. We had no reports on other species.

Gila River: Stream flow on Monday morning was 121 cfs. We had no reports from anglers this week.

Carlsbad Municipal Lake: Fishing was fair to good using salmon eggs and PowerBait for trout. We had no reports on other species.
