In Loving Memory of Louis J Amato

Louis J Amato, age 85 , passed away at Mt. San Rafael Hospital on November 9, 2018.
He was born in Trinidad Colorado on September 23, 1933 to Mary (Salito) and Joseph Amato Sr.
He attended area schools and graduated from Trinidad High School in 1951.
On June 4, 1960 Louis was united in marriage to Georgina Jolly at Holy Trinity Church in Trinidad Colorado.
Together they worked side by side in the family business , Amato Brothers Oil.
Lou was past president of the Lions Club and he was a member of the Las Animas County Chamber of Commerce
He was a member of Saint Joseph‘s and Holy Trinity Parish .
Lou was devoted to his family especially his grandchildren who are the loves of his life.
Preceding him and death are parents Mary and Joe Amato wife Georgina, in-laws, Mae and George Jolly brothers Carl (Louise) Amato ,Sam (Laura)Amato ,Joe (Marie) Amato ,sister Frances (Julius) DiGregorio, and brother-in-law Ed Caselnova.
He is survived by children Lou Ann Amato (David Sciacca) Nancy Amato, Joe (Jodi) Amato ,Gina (John)Willis ,grandchildren,Mary Willis Emma Jo Amato,Danny Willis, Lily Amato, sister Nadine Caselnova, brother and sister in law Jack  (Lois) Jolly, numerous nieces , nephews , other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2 PM to 6 PM at the Comi Chapel.
Rosary will be Thursday, November 15, 2018, at 7 PM at Holy Trinity Church
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, November 16 ,2018 at 10 AM at Holy Trinity Church.
Interment will follow with the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers are Mike Jolly, Don Jolly, Brian Jolly, Ron Amato , CJ Amato ,Gianni Amato ,and Mark Williams Schultz.
Persons wishing to do so make make contributions to the Holt Trinity Restoration Fund in memory of Lou .
