Bennie Orlando Moreno aka Junior & Tio Ben, age 64 of Springer, NM passed from this life on Friday October 5, 2018 at his home. He was a loving Father, Brother Nephew, Uncle, Cousin and friend. His life began on December 30, 1953. Bennie was born in Raton NM, NM to his parents Bennie Sr. and Lucy (Arguello) Moreno. He was preceded in death by his parents Bennie and Lucy A. Moreno, grandparents Juan and Rupertita Arguello and Candelario and Rosita Moreno. He is survived by his daughter Lori. M., Alliprandine (Chris) and son Thomas O. Moreno (Melissa Mascarenas) and their mother Marcella Maestas of Denver, CO. Brother Johnny L. Moreno of Springer, NM, Sister Carla M. Casas (JR) of Las Cruses, NM and Uncle Charlie Arguello (Esther) of Cimarron, NM, Aunt Placida Griego of Springer, NM, as well as five grandchildren: Aaron M. Moreno, Michael A. Alliprandine, Dylan J. Alliprandine of Denver, CO. Tahlia R. Moreno and Nicholas T. Moreno of Denver CO. Numerous cousins’ nephews and nieces.
Bennie was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a devoted Denver Bronco fan. Anybody that knew this very well loved man, knew that he enjoyed camping, fishing, grilling and entertaining. He was especially skilled with a grill and fishing rod. Bennie never got tired of spending time with family and friends leaving his door open to any and every one looking for a good time.
Bennie Moreno will be realty missed by his family, friends and community.
Recitation of The Most Holy Rosary will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. recited by Mary Romero and Gloria LaFond. Solemn Mass of the Resurrection will be at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Springer, NM with Father Trieu, as the Celebrant. Rite of Committal and Internment will follow at Springer Cemetery.
