Allen Wayne Smith passed away on August 20, 2018 at the age of 93 at Memorial Hospice in Dumas, Texas.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Mountain Time on Friday, August 24, 2018 at the Texline Community Center on 3rd and Chestnut in Texline, Texas. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery in Clayton, New Mexico by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.
Allen Wayne Smith was born on October 21, 1924 in Canyon, Texas to Lester Smith and Emma (Bryan) Smith. Wayne served in the U.S. Army during WWII in Berlin Germany as a motorcycle policeman. Wayne married Francis Lee (Douglass) Smith on October 12, 1947 in Mt. Dora, New Mexico and she preceded him in death on November 5, 1996. He lived in Dumas, Texas for most of his life where he worked as a farmer and a rancher and he also drove a tanker hauling oil for Phillips and later for Permian Oil Company until he retired. Wayne later married Cathy (Engel) Smith on January 22, 1998 in Canyon, Texas. In addition to his parents and his first wife, Wayne was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law; Mary Smith and by all of his brothers and sisters.

WIFE: Cathy Smith of Dumas, Texas.
5 CHILDREN: Edwin Smith, Sharon Eisele and her husband Bob, Robert Smith and his wife Tammy, Randy Smith and his wife Vicky and Kevin Smith and his wife Jody.
13 GRANDCHILDREN: Marcus Smith, Bobby Eisele, Dawn Leonhardt, Jeanine Eisele, Amity Leseberg, Brook Smith, Riley Smith, Melissa Freed, Grant Smith, Clayton Smith, Spencer Smith, Parker Smith and Lizzie Smith.
21 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN
3 STEP-CHILDREN: Raymond Engel, Caressa Engel and Anita Jabbia and her husband Vince.
6 STEP-GRANDCHILDREN: Cassidy Engel, Niki Engel, Felicity Messer, Kelsey Messer, Brooke Jabbia and Abbie Jabbia.
