Alicia “Josie” LeDoux, age 75, of Springer, NM passed away on August 13, 2018 in Albuquerque, NM. Alicia was born on January 22, 1943 and raised by Ignacio and Mary Trujillo of Maxwell, NM
Alicia was kind, generous and fun-loving. As a young woman, she worked at the Cactus Bar in Springer, NM and was a single mother of Joseph “Manuel”. When she married Phillip LeDoux, she was a rancher alongside him and they had Linda and Troy. After Phillip’s passing, she married Cecil Montoya and had Angela and Sarah. After divorcing Cecil, she didn’t remarry, but focused on continuing to raise her children and then was a great help with her grandchildren over the years. You could always count on a homecooked meal when you went to Alicia’s. Her breakfasts were renowned. There are also memories of her hosting families who were homeless or in need. She was just that way; always giving of herself.
Alicia is survived by her children: son, Joseph “Manuel” Madrid and his wife, Diana Madrid of Albuquerque, NM; daughter, Linda LeDoux- Worden and her husband, Ray Worden of San Angelo, TX; daughter, Angela Phillips and husband, Randy Phillips of Artesia, NM; and daughter, Sarah Arias and her husband, Leonard Arias of Springer, NM.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandson. Grandchildren include Katrina Abraham, Emilio Lopez, Phillip LeDoux, Diana LeDoux, Leonard Arias Jr., David Solano, Sarah Solano, Jesse Solano, Alicia Arias, Olivia Alexander, and Logan Phillips. Her great grandchildren are Tegan Biscaino, Teran Biscaino, Talia Biscaino, Tania Biscaino and James Ross Biscaino, children of Katrina Abraham; Tidus Troy LeDoux, son of Phillip LeDoux; and Joshua Grady Huffman, son of Sarah Solano. Also, great, great grandson, Azriel-Ray Biscaino, son of Tegan Biscaino.
Alicia was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip LeDoux and son, Troy LeDoux.
Alicia had requested privacy at the time of her passing. A graveside service at the Springer Cemetery was conducted on Wednesday, August 15, 2018. Pallbearers for the service were Leonard Arias, Randy Phillips, Phillip LeDoux, Leonard Arias Jr., David Solano and Jesse Solano. Honorary pallbearers were Emilio Lopez, Logan Phillips, James Ross Biscaino, Tidus Troy LeDoux, Joshua Grady Huffman, and Azriel-Ray Biscaino. Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home handled burial preparations.
