Patrick Joseph Garcia was born August 4, 1980 to Rudy and Barbara Garcia in Raton, NM. The Lord called him home on August 10, 2018 as the result of a Bronc riding accident at the Colfax County Fair Rodeo.
Pat was a life-long resident of northern New Mexico, having been employed on many of the area ranches as well as Western Woods. He was well known was an accomplished horseman, cowboy, and Ferrier. Pat touched many lives with his wit, ability, dedication and genuine love of his profession and a zest and talent of the sport of rodeo.
Pat is survived by his wife Misty Garcia of Raton and his sons: Garrett, Colten, Domenic, Evin, Presten and Adisen, his father Rudy Garcia and wife Ruth of Cimarron, his mother Barbara Garcia and partner Mike of Hatch N.M., Also surviving are Brenda Samora and husband Tim of Raton, brother Randy and wife Cordie of Raton, brother Rudy Garcia, Jr. and wife Lisa of Clayton, NM, sister Cindy Hyer of Oklahoma, sister Yolanda Ramirez of Colorado, brother Orlando Garcia of Wisconsin; brother Dominic Demcheck and wife Lucianna of Clayton, NM and brother Ernest Garcia and wife Meagan of Colorado Springs, CO. Also surviving are Aunts and uncles and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his brother Eddie Martinez and numerous beloved relatives.
The family wishes to thank the Colfax County Fair Association, the Rodeo Committee, the W/A Rodeo Company, the Bull Fighter, the Judges and so many friends and fans for all their support.

Visitation for Pat Garcia will be held on Friday August 17, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home. Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s/St. Joseph’s Catholic Church recited by Deacon Tom Alderette, followed by the Solemn Mass of Resurrection at 10:30 a.m. with Father Bill Woytavich Officiating. Rite of Committal an Interment will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The family requests that you join them for a light meal at the Parish Hall following the burial.
