In Loving Memory of Edna Mae Johnson

Edna Mae Johnson, 80, of Trinidad, Colorado passed away unexpectedly on July 26, 2018.

Edna Mae was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Hubert and Henry Johnson. Edna Mae is survived by her sisters Alberta (John) Bender, Nettie (Mike) Smith, sister in law Sue Johnson, nephew Daniel Johnson, nieces Heather Johnson, Jackie and Janelle Bender, Lydia Ratliff, and numerous friends and relatives.

Edna Mae was born March 15, 1938 in Trinidad and spent a good many years living in Forbes Canyon before moving into town. Edna Mae had a lengthy career in the restaurant industry which included Toties, The White Spot, Amatos, A&W, Stuckeys, and Pinon Plaza to name a few. Edna Mae had a lifelong interest in crafts. From leatherwork, Cameo, and Tri-Chem paints, to making cards. If you were lucky enough to receive a card from Edna Mae, you knew the talent she possessed.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to Noah’s Ark Animal Welfare Association (PO Box 478 Trinidad, CO 81082) to honor Edna Mae’s love of animals.

Services will be held at the Johnson Family Cemetery on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at 10am and a luncheon/celebration of life will follow. 19952 Co. Rd. 65.5 Trinidad, CO.

    Edna was a good person, she was always there for her family and friends.
    I ate many of her meals and can honestly say she made the best damn Chiliburger of all.
    May she rest in eternal peace!
