U.S. Veteran Anthony Duran, went to be with the Lord on June 30, 2018. Anthony was born in Brilliant, New Mexico on June 14, 1932 to Porfirio and Pablita Duran. Anthony married the Love of his life Elvira Cortez, their marriage Blessed them with two sons, Anthony Duran Jr, and John Paul Duran. Anthony served his Country and was a Veteran of the Korean War. Anthony was a coal miner for many years and was a Federal Mine Inspector for the Mining Industries.
Anthony is survived by his son John Paul Duran, Grand Daughters Serenity Hoover and Jion Dietz, Great Grandchildren, Tawny and Gague Hoover, Tucker, Bryse and Zoe Dietz, Siblings Dan Duran, Porfirio Duran and Alicia Duran Avila, several nieces and nephews. Proceeding him in death his Beloved wife Elvira Duran and son Anthony Duran Jr., siblings Pete Duran, William Duran, Mary Duran Martinez and Cynthia Duran.
The family would lien to thank Dr. Lopez and staff at MCMC for his wonderful care. The special than you to the MCMC Long Term Care staff where he resided. The care and love he received form Nurse, Nurses Tech, Dietary, Housekeeping and Activities Staff. Will never be forgotten.
Rosary for Anthony Duran will be held on Thursday, July 5th at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home. Rite of internment and committal will follow at a later date. Arrangements for Anthony Duran are under the direction of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home.
