Maria Terese (Tessie) Gonzales, age 82 passed away on June, 21, 2018 at Colfax General Long Term Care in Springer, NM. Maria was born to Father Sixto and Mother Balbina Dalton Gonzales.
Maria was a member of St. Patrick’s/St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Raton, NM. She worked s an operator for Mt. Bell for 19 years, was a member of the choir, VFW, an avid BINGO player, enjoyed listening to KRTN, loved her nieces and nephews and looked forward to their visits.
Maria is survived by sisters; Lala Bernal, Julie Valerio and husband Robert, Brother; tony Gonzales and wife Angelina, Nephews; Stephen Gonzales and wife Jean of Kansas, Dan Gonzales of Albuquerque, Robert Valerio, Jr. and wife Diana of Albuquerque; Great-nephews Dalton Valerio, Antonio Gonzales, Nieces; Jane Gonzales and husband Randy, Michelle Portillo and husband Robert. Great nieces; Stephanie Valerio, Alexis Portillo, Cassidy Portillo.
Maria is preceded in death by her parents Sixto and Balbina (Dalton) Gonzales, Sister Ramona Gonzales and Brother-in-law Ignacio Bernal
Recitation Of The Most Holy Rosary will be held on Wednesday June, 27, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s/St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, followed by the Mass Of The Resurrection at 10:30 a.m. St. Patrick’s/St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Raton, NM. With Father Bill Woytavich Officiating. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
