Family and friends will hold a “Reception” in Memory of Lorenzo (Larry) Gonzales”. Location for this reception will be held at Saint Joseph’s Church located on Goddard & Buena Vista on Saturday, June 23rd at 1:00 p.m.
Lorenzo graduated from Trinidad High School in 1984 and earned his undergraduate degree in 1988 from Princeton University. He also attended Colorado University in Bolder, CO while studying for his Juris Degree.
Lorenzo is the beloved son of Rosella Montoya (Yates) Stephens, and his loving brother John (Tina) Montoya.
Lorenzo is preceded in death by his great~grandparents Nick & Nora Lingus. His father Freddie (Zed) Gonzales; grandparents Fred Gonzales and Patricia Lingus-Maize; Pedro & Caroline (LeDoux) Montoya. Aunt, Sophie Lingus-Lovelace; Uncles: Nick Gonzales, Tom Montoya, & Richard (Louise) Montoya.
He leaves behind his aunts Kate (Jim) Rinehart, Dolores (Bill) Parker, Odelia (George) Dolores, Mary Yakimczyk, Cecelia Gonzales & Eva Wynhorst, and Louise (Montoya). His uncles Pete Montoya and Dave (Rose).
Lorenzo was blessed with numerous cousins (Robbie, Mike, Karen, Judy, Bud, John, Rae, Deb, Jackie, Rissa, Peter, Antonia, Tomas, Eric, Marti, His Godchildren, nephews and nieces…too many to mention. He loved all his family, not to mention his friends and coworkers.
And the List goes on! So if you knew Lorenzo, please stop by St Joe’s Church, say hi to his loved ones and many friends respectively. Lorenzo requested to be cremated, not have a funeral service, nor wished any attention toward him personally. Nonetheless, Lorenzo’s family humbly invites you to attend the Reception to celebrate his life and great love of his hometown of Trinidad, Blessings.
