Robert J. Ferrendelli, age 81, passed away on May 16, 2018.
He was born to Elizabeth (Argo) and Victor Ferrendelli on November 25, 1936.
He was a 1954 graduate of Holy Trinity High School.
After graduation, he began a career working for the Santa Fe Railroad. In 1955,, he married Elberta (Dalvit) and together they lived in a bunk car and travelled 5 states.
In 1960, they settled in Pueblo and Bob worked as a Hot Plant Operator and advanced to Welder/Mechanic for CDOT.
When given the opportunity, he took a transfer back to Trinidad I 1969.He retired after 31 years of service.
He was President and ditch boss for the Lopez Ditch for many years. He served on the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery Board.
Bob was a lifelong supporter of 4-H.
Bob enjoyed farming…his own place and several other surrounding fields. Later he also farmed his in -law’s farm in Hoehne. One of his favorite past times was going to every farm sale he could with his buddy Ron Martin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and Victor Ferrendelli, brother Tony Ferrendelli, sisters and brothers in law, Margaret (Len) LaFebre, Millicent Graff, Frank Passarelli, granddaughter, Crystal Ferrendelli and his in laws Frank and Mary Dalvit.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Elberta, his children, Sherri (Clay) Hart, Victor (Maggie) Ferrendelli, Doug (Dane) Ferrendelli, and Kathy (Jim) Garlutzo, grandchildren, Dustin (Melissa) Hart, Russell (Alexandria) Hart, Cutler (Leah) Ferrendelli, Grant (Jessica) Ferrendelli, Brent (Taisha) Ferrendelli, Meagan and Mariah Garlutzo, Shane and Rory Stoemer, great grandchildren, Christian, Liam, Owen and Colter Ferrendelli, sister Anne Passarelli, brothers and sisters in law, Inabelle Ferrendelli, Larry (M’Liss) Dalvit, Glenn Dalvit, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Bob will be remembered for his love of family, friends, farming, ranching, attending farm sales and auctions, and lending a helping hand to anyone in need.
We will also smile when we think of the life lessons that he has passed on to his children, His values continue through them. He was a loving husband, father and Papa.
He will always be remembered for his generous heart.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, June 18, 2018 at 11:00AM at Holy Trinity Church.
