Glenda Faye (English) McMenamy, age 83, of Felt, Oklahoma, died on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 in Amarillo, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Central Time on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Felt United Methodist Church in Felt, Oklahoma with Rev. Royce Bursch officiating. Burial will follow in the Bertrand Cemetery Southeast of Felt, Oklahoma by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.
Glenda Faye (English) McMenamy was born on April 22, 1935 in Custer County, Oklahoma Randall Lawrence English and Ruth E. (Coit) English. She attended Felt High School and graduated in 1952. In June of 1953, she married Joseph Benton (JB) McMenamy and they were married for 47 years. She was an avid sewer and quilter and enjoyed bird watching, gardening, and spending time outdoors. Glenda cherished the relationships she had with many special longtime friends of the Felt community. Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters; Imogene (English) Geick on April 29, 2018 and Ruthann (English) Berry on August 26, 2010, her brother; Ernest Weston English on February 12, 2017 and by her son, Bruce McMenamy on January 2, 2011.
SURVIVORS:
1 DAUGHTER: Gale Shafer and her husband Mike of Amarillo, Texas.
1 SON: Scott McMenamy and his wife Trinette of Newton, Kansas.
3 GRANDCHILDREN: Barrett Shafer and his wife Tonya, Lara Johns and her husband Caleb and Emily Rosson and her husband Seth.
4 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Alanna Shafer, Colin Shafer, Austin Johns, and Henry Rosson.
